Ukraine has officially sent an invitation to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Kyiv hopes that he will pay a visit to the country. Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of President Zelensky, announced this in an interview with one of the Ukrainian media.
He noted that he was present at a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Hungarian Prime Minister Orban as part of the EU leaders’ summit in Brussels on February 9. Zhovkva claims that the Hungarian prime minister was the first to approach Zelensky and shake his hand.
“The President of Ukraine has repeatedly invited Prime Minister Viktor Orban to come to Ukraine, to Kyiv. Sit down at the table and talk about all aspects, including those of concern to Hungary,” said the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
At the same time, he added that Kyiv knows that Budapest refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine, and the dialogue between Zelensky and Orban continues to this day.
