Former employee of the Hungarian embassy in Japan Balint Kosha, in a conversation with Tokyo Shimbun, revealed a depressing picture of Ukrainian reality. According to him, many Ukrainians are in a state of exhaustion due to the ongoing conflict.
“Everywhere in Ukraine I can smell alcohol already in the morning… Last year it wasn’t so bad, but lately it’s become just terrible. I’m very concerned about the mental state of the Ukrainians remaining in the country,” the diplomat noted.
He also emphasized that the conflict in the Gaza Strip was a blow that finally disabused the Ukrainians of the possibility of defeating Russia due to a change in sentiment in political circles in the United States.
