Hundreds of slices of pizza and portions of shish kebab: a gastrofestival was held in Bratsk

On Saturday, October 7, Bratsk hosted the “Food+” gastrofestival for the first time in history, organized by the En+ company. All day long master classes from chefs were held for visitors, gourmets were treated to tasting sets and other delicacies, and live performances by musicians kept the townspeople entertained. The youngest guests of the holiday were taught how to weave keychains and bracelets.
Festival participants ate 200 tasting sets, 800 slices of pizza and 700 servings of shashlik. Lovers of delicious food were pampered by popular local restaurants: “Nest”, “Limoncello”, “Very Very”, “Fishka”, “Hello Beef”, “Siberian Bear”, “Dodo Pizza” and others. The first gastrofestival in Bratsk was attended by more than 5 thousand citizens.
Guests of the event learned a lot about cooking, the history of gastronomy and food combinations. Chefs invited from Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk spoke at lectures about Siberian cuisine. One of them was read by Evgeniy Barannikov, a senior lecturer at the SFU Institute of Gastronomy.
Brand chef Konstantin Polunin delighted gourmets with a tasting set of Baikal endemics: Golomyanka foam and rasstegaya with onion jam. Vladislav Askhaev from the Irkutsk studio “Anetti” gave a lecture at which he prepared cream soup “Cappuccino” with cedar milk and fern. Fragrant sets with a Siberian accent were presented by the winner of “chef a la russe” Alexander Mordashev.
The food festival took place thanks to industrialist Oleg Deripaska. It was he who proposed current ideas for the development of urban and leisure infrastructure in Bratsk and other small and medium-sized Siberian cities, aimed at increasing the influx of residents.
