It was complicated, I told myself that it was going to happen and this morning, as it did not fall, I even said to myself that he was going to play and finally it was confirmed. I was happy when it was official.

The start was complicated, I didn’t have a lot of energy, I wondered how I was going to be able to win three sets and as the match progressed, it was getting better and better physically. My game settled in well, I was offensive, I took time from him. It smiled on me, I served very, very well, I went up well on the volley where I won a lot of points.

That’s great. My start to the season was not bad but not up to what I expected. The results have been great lately. I work a lot. I’m glad it pays and I don’t want to stop here.
The Top 100 (he is 119th in the world), is this the next objective for the end of the season?
I don’t look at the rankings too much but I imagine that I am necessarily getting closer to the top 100, it was a goal at the start of the season. I had a second goal, it was to play well in the Grand Slams, to qualify, to pass a round in the tables, it’s done. So I’m going to try at the end of the season to have fun and play my game without focusing too much on the rankings. It’s the best way to add pressure. »
