It is not necessary to indicate the reason for dismissal; it is enough to write “at your own request.” There is also no need to indicate under what law or on the basis of what article the employee wants to leave his job.

Application for dismissal by agreement of the parties most often used when they want to compensate for separation with severance pay. Then the employee and employer can agree on any end date of the contract, compensation or other conditions. In this case, there is no need to write a letter of resignation; an agreement between the parties is sufficient.

Is it possible to quit on the same day without working while on sick leave or on vacation?

The employee also may quit without working due to “the impossibility of continuing his work”, for example, when enrolling in an educational organization, when retiring (this wording can be used only once), when moving to another city or country, when it is necessary to care for sick relatives, for health reasons or other family circumstances. In such cases, you should always indicate the exact reason and, if possible, support it with documents. You can simply write a letter of resignation one day without good reason, but it depends only on the employer whether it will be accepted.

It is not prohibited to resign while on sick leave, vacation or maternity leave.. The application can be written on a regular sheet of paper and sent by mail or through electronic document management, confirming the application with an electronic signature.

While on vacation, you can write a letter of resignation on any day, even on the first day – then you won’t have to work after the vacation, and the employee will only need to receive a paycheck. It is possible to write an application for leave with subsequent dismissal, but you are not required to accept it.

If a person is on sick leave, work off depends on the number of days on sick leave. If there was one week there, then the remaining days will need to be worked out. If the date of dismissal falls during the period of sick leave, the employee will still be fired; the date of leaving work will not be postponed until the end of the sick leave.
