How to spot the impostor syndrome

On August 19, the online course “Find a Job: Psychological Aspects of Successful Employment” will begin at the Career Development Center of the Technograd Innovation and Education Complex at VDNKh.

In the classroom, they will tell you how to find the strength in yourself to take a step towards change, determine your calling and overcome internal barriers on the way to realizing your dreams. You can join the classes for free, you just need to register in advance.

The online course includes eight webinars. All of them will start at 16.00.

First lesson will take place on 19 August. Participants will look for motivation. They will discuss how change can affect their lives and the dangers of procrastination. The teacher will tell you how to find inner strength and move on to action.

What is the difference between work, passion, life’s work and vocation, you can find out at the second webinarwhich will take place on 24 August. Listeners will be told about four ways to determine your calling. Using them, participants will understand what they really want to do and what their strengths are. At the end of the second lesson, everyone will have their own step-by-step plan to achieve the goal.

Third lesson scheduled for August 26th.

At the fourth webinar talk about the impostor syndrome. As a rule, people who cannot accept their own achievements suffer from it. “Imposters” believe that those around them overestimate, that their success is just an accident. The syndrome is often temporary, but sometimes it can last a lifetime. How to detect such a syndrome in yourself, why it occurs and how it affects your career, course participants will figure it out on August 31.

What is social capital and networking – this question will be answered on September 2 during fifth online meeting. Students will find out why professional connections are useful, why a personal brand is needed and how to promote it.

Sixth lessonwhich will be held on September 7, will be devoted to the rules for writing a resume and the secrets of a successful interview.

They will talk about adaptation in the first weeks of work in a new place at the seventh webinar. It will take place on September 9th. The trial period is the time when you need to find a common language with colleagues and reveal your potential to the management. Participants will learn how to strengthen their positions in the new team.
