How gas helps us to build and live

The additional gasification program gave the people of Kursk, who had long dreamed of a cheap type of fuel, hope for an improvement in their living conditions. Pensioners, whose incomes did not allow them to spend large sums on laying a low-pressure gas pipeline to their homes, especially perked up.

The wood story of the Krivchenkovs is over

Among the first lucky ones is a family of pensioners from the village of Yastrebovka, Manturovsky district, Ivan and Valentina Krivchenkov. Literally a few days before the May Day holidays, they were connected to gas.

It so happened that the Krivchenkovs alone from an early age are raising their 14-year-old grandson Dima. Every winter, for heating your home, for cooking, washing and other household needs, you had to buy KamAZ firewood. The last time they paid 22 thousand rubles for it. For a former village librarian with a pension of 13 thousand and the same allowance of her husband, it was unprofitable to spend money on keeping warm in winter from the cold.

– Of course, one car was not enough to heat an area of ​​64 square meters, so in winter we went to the swamp to collect dead wood. They waited for the approaches to the willows to freeze, took the sleigh and went for firewood. Previously, my husband and I kept a cow, goats, sheep, piglets. With age, it became difficult to take care of the household, today there are only chickens left,” says Valentina Vladimirovna.

The part of the village where their street Zarechnaya is located was nicknamed by the locals “farm Sobachevka”. There are now about a dozen houses in it, in which only pensioners remained. Five years ago, the gas pipeline was extended to a pig farm and stopped one kilometer from the farm. Production turned out to be more important than people. And who knows if the Krivchenkovs and their neighbors would have seen blue fuel in their homes without the aftergasification program?

“We did not expect that we would be connected so quickly. The application was submitted in December last year, and at the end of April we already had gas. Thanks to our regional deputies, the head of the village council, the head and specialists of the Kshensky gas distribution section for such a big deal, – the hostess rejoices at an important event in their life. – We were immediately met halfway and helped to draw up a project, estimate, permits.

Pensioners had enough family savings to piping the house, gas equipment for installation and other expenses within the boundaries of household ownership. And although the Krivchenkovs do not have steam heating with batteries, the budget option with burners built into a brick slab that has been tested for decades warms not only the house, but also the soul.

The program will help to complete the house

With retirement, Nikolai Vasiliev decided to build a house in the Kursk region and devote his free time to household chores. All the savings of the former highly qualified engineer went to make his dream come true. We bought an unfinished house in the Ryshkovsky village council in 2021, brought electricity, made sewerage and finishing in two rooms.

But the construction market and its price hikes for materials made adjustments to Nikolai’s plans. Housework slowed down. Despite the fact that much had to be done with their own hands, the date of the housewarming was postponed indefinitely.

“My wife and I have saved money for heating, including the laying of a gas pipeline along our street together with our neighbors. And this is a decent amount of 195 thousand rubles. And now I learn from the news that a project for free gasification of private households has been launched in the country. This is cool. We immediately applied for a connection. We ordered design estimates, purchased a gas boiler and other equipment. Now we will use part of the released funds to complete the finishing work, – the head of the family shares his plans.

True, crashing into the highway did not work quickly. The pipe was laid down the street in November 2022. All equipment in the house is installed and accepted by gas services. But it remains to sign a few papers and the long-awaited blue fuel will please the Vasiliev family. At Gazprom Gas Distribution Kursk, Nikolai was promised to speed up the process, so there was not long to wait.

Now we pay for gas and enjoy life

In the village named after Karl Liebknecht, which is located 60 km from Kursk, the Lebedev family lives. They are also pensioners and also needed to connect gas to their homes. The application for the secondary gasification program was accepted from them in December 2021, and in July last year, Larisa Vladimirovna received dear guests at the house – representatives of the regional gas service and Governor Roman Starovoit. They lit the gas together, drank tea together and ate pies prepared for the long-awaited event.

– The documents were sent through the “Gosuslugi”, which is very convenient. There was no need to go to the regional center or to Kursk. There were no difficulties with paperwork or connection. We laid six meters of pipe to our site, we installed everything else with the help of specialists from the contractor, – recalls Larisa Lebedeva.

She said that before their family lived in an apartment. They returned to the parental home in the village in 2013. Firewood and coal for its heating took a lot, so the family budget for fuel was quite an impressive amount.

– Now we pay an average of one thousand rubles a month for gas and enjoy life. Our own house attracts us with the opportunity to spend more time in the fresh air. Here you can have a great rest, and gardening relieves stress and tension, gives a lot of positive emotions, – says Larisa.

In addition to herbs and vegetables, she likes to grow flowers and take care of a small garden. In household chores, the time spent on the stove was somehow quickly forgotten.

Even this year, in the Kursk region, as part of additional gasification, social facilities will begin to be connected to gas networks – schools and kindergartens, first-aid stations and medical outpatient clinics.
