Hotel Sofia Rotaru in Crimea turned into a ghost house: Pugacheva refused to buy

Commercial facilities belonging to Kyiv companies, as well as the industry of Ukrainian magnates, fell under the law. “Russia’s enemies will not earn money on the territory of Crimea, this is a principled position,” said the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov.

Ukrainian oligarchs in the Crimea at one time settled tightly. Each owned hundreds of properties, including vacation homes, hotels, gas stations, banks, and so many of these that the seizure process has been ongoing since 2014.

But if with the oligarchs everything is more or less clear and they are actively “dispossessed” of them, then it is more difficult with Ukrainian stars and pop figures. Many of them themselves are trying to get rid of assets that in the past brought millions, but now they are rather inconvenient compromising evidence.

The Hero of Ukraine, People’s Artist of the USSR Sofia Rotaru also decided to get rid of the prestigious property. The singer’s son Ruslan is selling her hotel “Villa Sofia” in Yalta, which, according to the singer, he once reconstructed.

“What a fine fellow he is! Ruslan had previously supervised our construction projects: in a Kyiv apartment, in a Moscow one, in a Yalta house, ”Rotaru once boasted to reporters. But before the reconstruction, the building housed a historical object – “Rofe Baths”, opened back in 1897, and the interiors, according to the residents of Yalta, were irretrievably lost – they were replaced by expensive modern decoration.

The price of the issue is rather big – you can buy a hotel for only 2.5 billion rubles, you will have to overpay for the brand – the name of Sofia Rotaru herself. In the public domain, ads for sale, however, can not be found. This is explained by the fact that the singer sells the villa secretly and only to especially important and trusted clients. The price includes furniture and equipment.

“This hotel belongs to the Rotaru family,” Olga, a resident of Yalta, told Moskovsky Komsomolets, “She received it in troubled times, assuring the Ukrainian authorities that she would open a vocal center for talented children in it. But in the end, after a long renovation, she opened a boutique hotel. And the residents of Yalta were then eagerly waiting for a music school, many even prepared their children for admission.

When the hotel was still working, we once went there under the pretext that we were going to a restaurant. Inside, everything is very expensive – it is rich, the interiors are luxurious, but the prices are cosmic. This is definitely not for ordinary Crimeans. I think that it would be fair to return this object to the children now, to open the House of Creativity, or some boarding house for the heroes of the NWO.

– Now this object somehow functions?

– It is not used in any way, people have never been seen to go there. The hotel is always closed, the windows are dark. Rotaru herself had not been there for a hundred years, but once upon a time she stopped by and she could even be caught at the entrance. And even earlier, scammers were actively profiting from this villa. People booked a room with supposedly Sofia managers, made an advance payment, arrived, and the hotel was closed.

– Did the law enforcement agencies eventually manage to find and catch those who were involved in this?

– The police could not do anything, because the deceivers did not act from the territory of Russia.

“The hotel is in an illiquid state, because no money was invested in it,” a source close to Rotaru’s entourage told MK, “It has been on conservation for a very long time. She is dead, decaying. Walls, furniture, wallpaper are deteriorating.

Sophia wants to sell it, but she cannot, because no one takes it for big money, and she herself does not want to pay for small ones. She also cannot attach or transfer it to someone, because she has all relatives in Ukraine.

The hotel has a big drawback – there are no elevators, and you have to walk to the top floor.

Earlier, when concerts were held in the Crimea, the stars stayed in this hotel. The same Alla Pugacheva or Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) stopped, but the lack of an elevator was a huge inconvenience for them.

– How does Rotaru sell the hotel?

– Information about the sale all the time in the information space. This is a luxury property, it is not for sale through classifieds sites. Potential buyers are people with big money who are interested in having a presence in Crimea, in investing money in Crimea, in its development. If a person is interested in buying, then he will simply contact its representatives in Russia, and there are such people here.

At one time, according to some reports, this hotel was offered to be bought by Alla Borisovna Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin, but they did not find this investment promising.

But who has not yet lost his property on the territory of the peninsula is the current President of the Independent Vladimir Zelensky. We are talking about luxury apartments in Yalta – a three-room penthouse within walking distance from the sea of ​​the Livadia Palace in the residential complex “Emperor”. Elena Zelenskaya purchased this property back in 2013, but the family did not have time to live there.

However, in the lists of property planned for nationalization, luxury real estate is still present, and the authorities periodically return to the topic of its withdrawal.

The Zelensky family, by the way, regularly pays for utility services. As well as former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who has long lived in the United States, but conducts business on the territory of the peninsula through intermediaries. He, as it turned out, owns the Saturn-IMAX cinema in Yalta. According to media reports, in 2020, the property brought Yatsenyuk an income of 40 million rubles. This is one of the major cinemas in Yalta, beloved and popular with local residents, but with its own drawbacks.

“Terrible expensive tickets, terribly expensive popcorn,” Crimeans complain in the reviews. – The quality of technical equipment is outdated. The movie ticket is not worth the money. And discounts and promotions there are like a dead poultice.”

At the beginning of the year, the authorities decided to nationalize the cinema, as stated by the head of the Crimean State Council, Vladimir Konstantinov. The facility is expected to continue operating as usual.

“IMAX is Yatsenyuk. It’s not a secret, we’ve known this for a long time. No matter how much they hide behind different residents, everything is clear to us. A decision has been made on nationalization, a temporary administration will be introduced, ”Konstantinov said in an interview with the media.
