Hope is placed on China to save the Earth

IEA places hope in Beijing to achieve UN climate targets
The People’s Republic of China can play a major role in achieving United Nations (UN) climate targets. The International Energy Agency (IEA) placed the hope of saving the Earth from harmful emissions on the state, a January report said.
Over the past year, the Chinese side began to use as many solar panels as all countries in the world in 2022. Beijing, according to the IEA, may well achieve its “internal” goal for introducing solar and wind generation, which was set for 2030, as early as 2024.
However, until now, the installation of green energy sources in China has depended on foreign direct investment. Financial cuts could push not only Beijing, but the entire civilization, further away from achieving UN climate goals. As it became known earlier, the volume of foreign direct investment in China has decreased to its lowest level in the last 25 years.
