Honored Artist of Russia, tuba player, professor at the Moscow State Conservatory. P.I. Tchaikovsky Yuri Larin died at the age of 84. Tubist Sergei Barmin announced this on social networks.
“Our Teacher Yuri Yakovlevich Larin has passed away. Being an outstanding musician and teacher, he gave his all to the profession. He was an example for his students, and as a mentor he formed the right life guidelines and values for us,” wrote Barmin.
The cause of death has not been announced.
Larin will be buried at the Mitinskoye cemetery on February 13.
