Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” continues to prepare for the start of the new season of the KHL. Wards of Igor Larionov were among the last to start training camps. Players “Torpedo” for two weeks trained at the base of the “Sea of Sport” in the Gorodetsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. There, the “Avtozavodtsy” trained twice a day, and the classes were open to fans.
On August 18 and 19, hockey players from Nizhny Novgorod took to the ice of the Nagorny KRC for the first time in a long time. Wards of Igor Larionov met in a friendly match against the Penza “Diesel” – a member of the PARI-VHL.
Friendly matches “Torpedo” against the club PARI-VHL ended in success. If “Cupid” and “Chemist” Nizhny Novgorod lost, then in the matches against “Diesel” the first victories were obtained within the framework of the summer off-season.
On the first game day “Torpedo” won with a score of 3:2. The next day, the wards of Igor Larionov won another victory with a minimum difference, the match ended with the victory of “Torpedo” with a score of 2:1.
