The Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players are finishing their performances in the WHL regular championship for the 2023-2024 season. The Nizhny Novgorod team played the current regular season at an excellent level, competing with the favorites from Ufa. For a long time, the Torpedo women’s team pursued the Agidel hockey players, but they were stronger at a distance. At the moment, Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo is in 2nd place in the WHL standings and is not going anywhere. In 40 matches, Torpedo was able to score 91 points, breaking away a fair distance from other competitors.
The Torpedo women’s team finally achieved 2nd place in the regular season thanks to a victory over Tornado from Dmitrov. The former league favorite and trophy contender from the Moscow region is going through hard times, settling in the second half of the standings. In the meeting against Tornado, the Torpedo hockey players played very sparingly and spent a lot of effort to win, scoring a puck in each period. The home team responded with one goal, and the final siren sealed Torpedo’s victory with a score of 3:1.
The second match between Tornado and Torpedo will take place on February 29. The meeting is scheduled to start at 17:00 Moscow time.
