In Novokuznetsk, on January 30, a meeting of the Higher Hockey League (VHL) was held, in which the local Metallurg met with the Voronezh Buran, the press service of the hockey club reported.
Despite the fact that the guests opened the scoring thanks to an accurate throw by Dmitry Vozovik, the Voronezh team failed to win. In the remaining time, the owners of the ice scored six unanswered goals and achieved a major victory – 6:1. The Hurricane lost to the opponent in the total number of shots and shots on target with identical figures on the face-off.
In a post-match flash interview, the coach of the Voronezh club noted that there were no complaints about the guys in terms of dedication, and the score does not reflect the level of the game.
Dmitry Alexandrovich paid tribute to the efforts of his hockey players and the loss of concentration when playing on the patch at his gate.
After 44 matches, Buran has 24 points and 25th place in the standings. Dmitry Kramarenko’s wards will try to interrupt the unsuccessful away series on February 2, when in Krasnoyarsk they will meet with another leader of the tournament – Sokol hockey players. The fight starts at 15:00 Moscow time.
