Hockey club “Sochi” dismissed Sergei Svetlov

The hockey club “Sochi” reported on Saturday that the management decided to dismiss head coach Sergei Svetlov.
The press service of the club noted that 62-year-old Svetlov was fired after losing to Kunlun in the KHL regular season match.
Sochi lost with a score of 1:5.
Dmitry Kokorev will become acting head coach.
Svetlov was appointed to Sochi as a mentor a few months ago, last fall. The team is currently at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Sochi is in 11th place – the team, having played 52 games, scored 21 points.
