US bodyguard Michael Sherwood received an order from his former boss, Fereydoun Khalilan, to kill director Juan Esco for a reward of $20,000, reports washingtonpost.com.

Sherwood warned Esko and they decided to stage the crime. After Sherwood sent Khalilan photographs that suggested he had completed the order, Fereydoun wired him three thousand dollars. The men, who had previously doubted that Fereydun was seriously planning to organize a murder for hire, considered the translation to be sufficient evidence. The employer was arrested by the FBI.

Esko planned to make a documentary about Khalilan, whom he suspected of fraud.
