Historian Ponasenkov told in detail the story of a deadly conflict with lawyer Dibrov

“He destroyed himself”

Oleg Dibrov, the 55-year-old general director of a law firm, died in Moscow, who suffered during a conflict with a friend of the famous historian Yevgeny Ponasenkov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) in Moscow more than a month ago. Yevgeny Ponasenkov told us his version of the tragedy.

– Where is your lawyer friend Ramis Zaripov now?

“He is in Moscow, minding his own business, we communicate with him regularly,” Evgeny Ponasenkov says to MK. – Of course, he is worried about this whole story, when a man attacked him, and the press poisons him for a whole month. Let me remind you that Ramis is a well-known human rights activist, and it was he who won two trials in my favor against the murderous dismemberment professor Oleg Sokolov from St. Petersburg. Dibrov was drunk as hell. And he shouted that he would kill me and Ramis. It was just a crazy aggressive creature on the street.

– Tell us as accurately as possible what happened on June 7 on the Arbat?

– Oleg Dibrov began to be rude at the moment when fans approached me to be photographed. And these fans remember very well how he began to insult and threaten. Dibrov pestered us for 6-7 minutes, waving a sharp iPad. He couldn’t provoke me. When Dibrov waved his iPad and shouted “I will kill you,” Ramis simply put his hands out in front of him. And he deliberately fell on his ass, but because he was drunk, he could not resist and continued to fall. This guy just destroyed himself.

– After the fall of Dibrov, did you leave the scene?

– I was in a hurry. I called the police and said that I was attacked, promised to send detailed descriptions in the evening and asked to open a case on the attack on a public figure. This is a separate heavy article. The police were just waiting for Dibrov to finally recover. I remind you that he was not in any coma, he came to his senses for two weeks and then only pneumonia appeared. The law enforcers were waiting to question him in order to start this case. I will apply to the FSB to conduct a comprehensive audit of the activities of this type (Dibrov).

– Did you or Ramis Zaripov try to contact the family of the deceased, to make amends financially?

– You are out of your mind, what does it mean to make amends? This side of the deceased should make amends to us. It is his side that should apologize to me and compensate me for the insults and the stress of a month of bullying me. I think that such persecution by the press is absolute fascism.

– Before your lawyer Zaripov had to fight, did you witness the use of force on his part?

– No never. I inform you that Ramis has an absolutely perfect biography. There was no fight, we have a video which shows that Ramis put his hands forward only once.

– How are the investigative actions in connection with the death of Dibrov?

– I have no idea. I think that there will be some kind of bureaucracy, but all this will be repulsed, as in the case with Sokolov.
