Some participants at the Munich conference in Germany gathered at a party to “drink against Putin,” the event organizer, Bild newspaper, reports.
At a party called “Freedom Night,” the unofficial motto of the meeting was “Prost gegen Putin!” (“Let’s drink against Putin!”)
The alcoholic party was attended by the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Czech President Petr Pavel, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko and his brother Vladimir, a number of former American and current German officials, as well as businessmen.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin that the village of Avdeevka had completely come under the control of Russian forces. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the capture of Avdeevka by the Russian armed forces, said that this is why all of Moscow’s enemies “are so distorted.”
