Authorities of the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine extended the effect of an increased level of terrorist threat for another 15 days. The “yellow” level of terrorist threat was extended today in another border region – the Belgorod region. Until September 7, there is also a ban on launching firecrackers, fireworks and salutes.
A high, “yellow”, level of terrorist threat was introduced in the Bryansk region on April 11, after which it was repeatedly extended. During this time, several incidents occurred in the region, including shelling of settlements. In one of the districts of Bryansk at the end of April there was a major fire at the oil depot of Transneft Bryansk-Druzhba JSC. For the last time the power reported about the shelling in early August, when two people were injured due to the fall of shells in the village of Klimovo, and several houses, a school and an enterprise were damaged.
During the special military operation in the Belgorod region, as a result of shelling by Ukraine, eight people were killed and hundreds of houses and structures were damaged. After the most large-scale incident in July, restoration work is still going on.
