There is a possibility that the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will escalate into a large-scale war. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah Hassan Nasrullah. Text broadcast of his speech leads Sky News.

Nasrullah stressed that the Lebanese group has been involved in almost daily fighting along its border with Israel since the conflict with Hamas began. Hezbollah’s leader warned that the situation could escalate. He clarified that the actions of his fighters will depend on “what is happening in Gaza” and “the morality of our enemy in relation to Lebanon.”

According to the Hezbollah leader, the United States is “to blame for what is happening in Gaza” and is responsible to the people of the region, and Israel is “just a tool” and the United States is “using it.”

In his address, Nasrullah also called on Arab countries to stop trading with Israel.

“You must stop supplying oil, gas or food, whatever, to Israel. Stop trading with Israel,” the Hezbollah leader emphasized.

Sky News clarifies that this is Nasrullah’s first speech since the beginning of the conflict between Hamas and Israel. The speech was broadcast in parallel with a press conference by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was visiting Tel Aviv.

The Gaza-based Palestinian group Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7. The Israeli army responded by launching Operation Iron Swords. On October 27, the Israeli military announced an expansion of the ground operation and called on residents of the northern Gaza Strip to move to the south, promising them humanitarian assistance. On November 2, the Israeli army conducted an operation to encircle Gaza City.

According to the latest data, more than 10,000 people have died as a result of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Gaza reported more than 9,000 deaths in Israeli strikes, and about 1,400 people were killed in Israel after the group’s attack.
