Evgeny Chernyaev, commander of the deep-sea underwater vehicle Mir-2 and Hero of Russia, told reporters about his participation in remote electronic voting (DEV) on September 8.
According to Chernyaev, this was the first time he decided to use electronic voting. He has a very busy schedule and also has minor children. Therefore, it is difficult for the hero to break out of his affairs.
“It’s convenient to do everything electronically, without having to travel somewhere,” Evgeniy Chernyaev shared his experience.
He noted that the voting procedure does not take much time.
“DEG gives you the opportunity to vote, even if you are not in Moscow,” he said. “And I didn’t spend that much time on it without taking time away from my work.”
Chernyaev clarified that he “voted immediately after receiving the code.”
He was left with a positive impression from this vote.
From September 8 to 10, elections for the mayor of the city are being held in Moscow. Five candidates are participating in them: the current mayor Sergei Sobyanin (from United Russia), State Duma deputies Leonid Zyuganov (from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation), Dmitry Gusev (from A Just Russia – For Truth), as well as State Duma speakers Boris Chernyshov (from the LDPR) and Vladislav Davankov (from “New People”).
