Residents of Moscow expect heavy snowfalls on January 30 and 31: the snow cover will grow from 23 cm to 29–34 cm in two days, Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said.
“Real snowfalls are tentatively predicted on the very last days of the month, January 30 and 31. At this time, according to the climate, the coldest time of the year usually sets in, however, light frosts will do. The height of the snow cover in Moscow will noticeably grow from the current 23 cm to 2934 cm,” said Mr. Tishkovets “RIA News”.
In mid-January, warming came to Moscow. On the night of January 20, it was raining and sleet in Moscow. The hydrometeorological center announced a yellow level of weather danger in Moscow due to ice, thunderstorms and wind.
