Heavy rain and hail caused flooding in Kabardino-Balkaria – Kommersant

Heavy rain and hail occurred in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. As a result, several houses in low-lying areas in Nalchik were flooded. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“Heavy rain showers combined with thunderstorms, hail and squally winds occurred across the republic. As a result of the cyclone, low-lying areas of the area were flooded in some places,” reported department.

How reported Administration of Nalchik, due to heavy rain in the city district, several private houses in low-lying areas in the Volny Aul, Dubki microdistricts, as well as a section of the road along Taman Division Street, were flooded with rain sewage.

On video, published by the head of the region, Kazbek Kokov, it is clear that on one of the roads in Nalchik, due to heavy hail, precipitation similar to snowdrifts has accumulated; special equipment is removing them. Fire and rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are pumping out water and eliminating the consequences of bad weather. The supply of electricity, water and gas is normal. There were no casualties.
