“Healthy Man” claims the “Golden Eagle”

Soon, on January 27, the capital will host the ceremony of presenting the Golden Eagle Award, the country’s film award established by the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia. The award is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of cinematography based on the voting results of full members and corresponding members of the academy. One of the most likely contenders for the main award this year is Pyotr Todorovsky’s film “Healthy Man”, presented in six categories.

The picture will be released on March 2, but the first viewers have already watched it at the Moscow International Film Festival, where it received the Silver Saint George.

The tape tells about a steep turn in the life of the famous sports TV commentator Yegor Tikhonov. By the will of circumstances, having temporarily changed his usual way of life, the hero begins to search for missing people and organize leisure activities for seriously ill children in medical institutions. While doing these important things, he meets a woman close to him in spirit. But everything is not so simple: the hero has a wife, there is also a job that he generally loves and to which he devoted most of his life. They say that on the way to yourself there is a chance to meet yourself. Where his spiritual quest will lead Yegor, where he will find the meaning of his existence, the creators of the picture and Nikita Efremov, who plays the central role of Yegor Tikhonov, are trying to answer.

“My hero,” says Nikita Efremov, “is a public, successful person. Under the guns of cameras, he plays a role all the time, wears a mask that has become familiar to him. But behind the mask it is difficult to understand the needs of your soul. Indulging in ordeals, Yegor gradually begins to answer himself the question: “Who am I really?”

Pyotr Todorovsky, who wrote the script for his future film, tells how the idea for the film came about.

– One night I was awakened by a cry for help: “Help, help …” At first I wanted to get dressed and rush into the yard. But then I caught myself thinking: laziness, night, dangerous, and they can kill. After dialing the police number, I calmed down and went to bed. And although the screams stopped, the next morning I felt guilty. What is wrong with me? Someone needed help, he called, and I went to bed. And I kept coming back to it until I realized that the feeling I had was the reason for the film.
