HeadHunter: 41% of Russians spoke about layoffs

Almost half of Russians report layoffs in companies in the past year, according to a study by HeadHunter. A quarter of respondents said that the reductions are selective, another 17% noted that the reductions are massive.
Most often, selective layoffs are made for employees in the extraction of raw materials, production, as well as top managers – here, each industry accounts for 34% of layoffs. Also, a large number of messages about layoffs were left by people from the fields of administrative personnel and marketers – 24% for each industry.
22% of those surveyed said they had been made redundant in 2022, 47% said their position remained intact, and another 6% reported a promotion at work. The decrease affected 5% of the polled Russians.
HH conducted a survey among 4,060 Russians from 1 to 14 December.
