Head of the Kyiv VGA Popko: the capital’s air defense system does not guarantee one hundred percent protection

A multi-level air defense system has been built around Kyiv, but it cannot guarantee one hundred percent protection of the Ukrainian capital. This statement was made by the head of the Kyiv Military-Civil Administration (CAA) Sergei Popko in an interview with Ukrainian media.
“We are systematically and plannedly increasing the effectiveness of Kiev’s air defense… But once again I appeal to the people of Kiev: remember, not a single air defense in the world always guarantees 100% security,” said the Ukrainian politician.
As an example of unguaranteed air defense protection, Popko cited the Israeli Iron Dome, which was unable to shoot down all the missiles launched towards their territory by Hamas militants. Then representatives of the radical movement fired over three thousand ammunition into Israel.
