Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov re-elected for a second term

Deputies of the State Council of Adygeya unanimously elected the current head of the republic Murat Kumpilov for a second term. His candidacy was nominated by United Russia and supported by all political parties.

All 49 deputies who arrived at the 14th meeting of the parliament of the republic voted for the current head of the region. After the meeting, the inauguration took place immediately.

At the end of August, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted three candidates for the post of head of the republic for consideration by the State Council – Khase of Adygea. In addition to the current head of the region, the list includes State Council deputy Khase Adygei, legal adviser of ZhilMontazhService LLC Evgeny Grunin and chairman of the regional parliament committee on legislation, legality and local self-government Alexander Loboda.

In January 2017, Murat Kumpilov was appointed acting head of Adygea. In September of the same year, the deputies of the State Council-Khase of Adygea approved him for the post of head of the republic.
