Pamfilova declared the inadmissibility of the forced introduction of DEG

The forced introduction of remote electronic voting in all regions of Russia is unacceptable, said Ella Pamfilova, chairman of the Central Election Commission.

The head of the CEC said that voters should have the right to choose. At the same time, according to her, the CEC can extend the DEG to the entire country, but the security of the system and the level of confidence of citizens are important, transmits TASS.

In April, in preparation for the current regional elections, Pamfilova spokethat no one intends to replace traditional voting with electronic. “Traditional voting was, is and will be,” the head of the CEC noted. “The DEG goes in parallel and additionally, so that in our vast country mobile people who want to have more choice, we will implement it as we are ready.”

Three-day voting takes place from 9 to 11 September in 82 regions of Russia. Direct elections of governors are held in 14 regions of the country, legislative assemblies are formed in six constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and deputies of administrative centers are elected in twelve. In addition, during the voting will be determined with local governments at various levels.
