Former head coach of the Russian national hockey team Zinetula Bilyaletdinov, who currently heads Ak Bars, became a young great-grandfather at the age of 67. This was reported in the telegram channel of the Kazan club.
The grandson of Bilyaletdinov Alexander Romanov and his wife Sofia had a daughter, who was named Olivia. Romanov, who plays as a defenseman for the New York Islanders, is, in turn, the son of hockey player Stanislav Romanov, son-in-law of Bilyaletdinov.
The coach led the Kazan club to three victories in the Gagarin Cup (2009, 2010, 2018). Under his leadership, Dynamo Moscow won the Russian Championship (2000). As a coach of the Russian national team, he became the world champion (2012).
Bilyaletdinov was a defender of the USSR national team from 1976 to 1988.
