HC “Spartak” lost to “Sibir” and interrupted the record winning streak

The Moscow Spartak hockey players lost to the Sibir club in Novosibirsk with a score of 4:3 and thus interrupted their record winning streak of nine matches.
The hosts scored goals from Alexey Yakovlev (16th minute), Egor Alanov (44), Fedor Gordeev (48) and Nikita Shashkov (55). And for the guests, Maxim Tsyplakov (2), Egor Savikov (18) and Michal Chaikovsky (60) scored.
Note that Spartak’s main goalkeeper Patrick Ribar did not play due to injury, and defender German Rubtsov was unable to continue this match after being hit in the face, for which Sibir captain Nikolai Prokhorkin was sent off for the rest of the game.
The red-whites continue to lead the Western Conference of the KHL. Now “Spartak” will meet at home with Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik” on October 31, and “Sibir” will host CSKA Moscow on October 28.
