The Sochi hockey club beat Tolyatti’s Lada away. Regular time ended in a draw, and the fate of the meeting was determined by a series of shootouts.
Leopards were in the lead for most of the match. Amir Garayev opened the scoring in the 4th minute, to which the hosts responded 7 minutes later. The start of the second period of the game was again left to the guests – Gleb Koryagin scored.
At the same time, goalkeeper Mikhail Berdin played excellently for Dmitry Kokorev’s team, helping out his team several times and allowing them to maintain the lead.
Then, within 85 seconds, the teams exchanged pucks: Michal Kristof increased Sochi’s lead, and soon the Togliatti team reduced it. In the 53rd minute, Lada equalized the score – 3:3.
The additional five minutes passed without goals, and Daniil Seroukh put the finishing touches in the shootout. Sochi won 4:3 (b), winning their second victory in the last three matches. The next meeting for the team will also be away – on January 24 in Yaroslavl against Lokomotiv (0+).
