HarmonyOS may come to PC in 2024 – Kommersant

The Chinese company Huawei may release a full version of the HarmonyOS operating system for computers next year. About it declared Wang Chenglu, former president of Huawei Consumer Business Group’s software development department.
According to Mr. Chenglu, the new operating system will be shipped with the laptops. Previously, it was possible to install HarmonyOS on some Qingyun L410 laptops, however, the PC was originally shipped with the UOS 2.0 operating system. Newer laptops may come with a more recent HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system.
Huawei talked about a possible PC version of HarmonyOS back in 2020 when the company introduced version of the operating system for smartphones. As of August 2023, HarmonyOS is installed on more than 700 million devices.
