The representative of the Hamas delegation in Moscow, Abu Hami, in an interview with Kommersant, said that the Palestinian movement cannot release the hostages until a ceasefire is agreed upon.
He clarified that Hamas has spoken about its intentions to release “civilian prisoners” from the very beginning of the military conflict. At the moment, the movement needs time to find everyone who ended up in the Gaza Strip on October 7th.
“We need time to find “civilian prisoners” in the Gaza Strip. After this we will be able to free them. This requires a calm environment,” said Abu Hami.
