Hamas leader Haniyeh: peace agreement with Israel is approaching

The head of the Politburo of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, said that progress is currently being made on the issue of a truce agreement with Israel. This was reported in the movement’s Telegram channel.
According to him, Hamas representatives conveyed their response to Qatar and other countries that are mediators in negotiations with Israel.
“We have conveyed the answer to our brothers in Qatar and other mediators. Now we are approaching the conclusion of a truce agreement,” Haniyeh said.
Let us recall that earlier the American newspaper Washington Post wrote that Hamas, Israel and the United States are close to an agreement on a five-day pause in hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
