The head of the Hamas Politburo, Ismail Haniyeh, said that residents of the Gaza Strip will not leave the enclave during the Israeli army’s ground operation and will not take refuge in Egypt.
“There will be no flight from Gaza, there will be no flight from the West Bank,” Haniyeh said, adding that the Palestinian people have the right to live on their land.
According to the Hamas leader, he has already warned Egypt that a decision has been made to remain in the Gaza Strip and oppose Israel’s plan.
At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces previously announced that it was ready to expand operations in the Gaza Strip, with an emphasis on a significant ground operation.
