Half of Russians wanted to receive an unconditional basic income

The majority of Russian citizens expressed their support for the idea of introducing an unconditional basic income, as evidenced by the results of the SuperJob survey available to RBC. So, in two years, the number of supporters of this idea has grown by 6%, reaching an indicator of 56%. On average, the Russians surveyed would like to receive 33.5 thousand rubles from the state.
It is noted that 1,600 economically active Russians from all districts of Russia took part in the survey. According to the survey, men support the idea of an unconditional basic income more than women (59% versus 52%), and the idea is most popular among Russians in the age group of 35 to 44 years (59%).
It follows from the results of the survey that 6 out of 10 Russian citizens would like to receive an income of 30 to 50 thousand rubles a month, whose position is due to the fact that the satisfaction of basic needs will help develop, and the respondents believe that the country’s resources belong to the people and the income from them everyone should receive, not individual citizens.
