Hackers “leaked” screenshots of STALKER 2 before the release of the game and demanded that the developers from the Ukrainian company GSC Game World apologize to the players from Russia and Belarus.
The studio is headquartered in Prague.
The developers from the Ukrainian company GSC Game World are accused of unworthy attitude towards ordinary users from Russia and Belarus. Another of the demands of the hackers is to return the Russian localization of the game and “change the policy … in the direction of adequacy.”
The hackers said that they had a huge amount of materials in the amount of tens of gigabytes, including the entire plot, video descriptions, maps, etc. on their hands. They posted a few screenshots to demonstrate that they have this content.
The ultimatum to developers is valid until March 15. According to the hackers, the fact that they did not publish all the materials at once is a confirmation of the friendly attitude of GSC Game World, despite all the negative actions of the Ukrainian company in relation to Russians and Belarusians.
“We ask you to act adequately and correct the situation. Don’t let the STALKER universe die because of your politicization,” the hackers said in a statement.
