At the peak of hacker attacks on infrastructure SPIEF reached 50,000 events per second, said Igor Lyapunov, CEO of RTK-Solar Group of Companies, at an IT breakfast as part of the forum.
“As part of the attempt to disrupt the functioning of the broadcast, we repelled a cascade of different attacks. All of them were sent to the application level and were adapted to the specifics of the resources RoscongressA. At the peak of the attack, they reached 50,000 events per second. For understanding, the maximum attack during the period of the special operation was 270,000 and was aimed at a very voluminous and stable infrastructure of public services,” Lyapunov said. According to him, the efficiency of infrastructure protection was 99.6%.
The efforts of IT specialists were aimed at preventing the impact on key events – the broadcast of the plenary discussion, the passage of guests through the security control system, Internet access from the venue. Together with headquarters SPIEF “RTK-Solar” revealed “several dozen malicious activities, and all were blocked in a timely manner without the possibility of further development,” the company’s CEO added.
Former press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov declared about “unprecedented” security measures on the forum. He stressed that “enhanced” digital security measures are also being taken. In this regard, Peskov warned about problems with mobile Internet and advised using Wi-Fi.
SPIEF runs from 14 to 17 June. The main topic of the forum was “Sovereign development is the basis of a just world. Let’s join forces for the sake of future generations.” The events, according to the Kremlin, were attended by delegations from more than 15 countries, including the leaders of a number of states.
According to Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of Russia, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Forum, SPIEF was concluded agreements for a total amount of 3.86 trillion rubles, including 43 agreements with representatives of foreign companies.
