Guterres will study the work of the Istanbul center for the control of the export of Ukrainian grain

Secretary General António Guterres and Moldovan President Maia Sandu met in Chisinau, in the future Guterres will visit the Joint Coordinating Center (JCC) in Istanbul, Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary General Farhan Haq told RIA Novosti.
The SKC was created within the framework of multilateral agreements on lifting restrictions on the supply of Russian products for export and on facilitating the export of Ukrainian grain. Its functions include the inspection of ships with agricultural products. Earlier, the UN said it was “impressed” with the level of coordination and cooperation of all parties in the SKC.
According to Haq, Guterres will be in Istanbul on August 20.
Earlier, the UN Secretary General visited Odessa, assessing the shipment of ships with agricultural products from Ukraine. On Thursday, he held tripartite talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Lviv.
