A letter has been sent to UN Secretary General António Guterres urging the United States to influence the issue of issuing visas to members of the Russian delegation heading to the UN General Assembly in September, TASS reports citing the text of the letter.
The letter, which was signed by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, asks the UN Secretary General to remind the US administration of the obligation to issue the requested visas to members of the Russian delegation as soon as possible, as well as to accompanying personnel, including journalists who will cover what is happening at the General Assembly.
On September 20, the high-level week of the UN General Assembly in New York kicks off in New York. The event is held at the level of heads of state and ministers.
