Gunzburg does not rule out an increase in mortality from coronavirus in Russia to 200 per day

For a month and a half, the death rate from coronavirus has increased by 3.5 times, said the director of the Center. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg. In his opinion, the figure could reach 200 deaths per day and then reach a plateau.

“The death rate has increased by 3.5 times. It can grow up to 200 deaths per day, then we will reach a plateau,” said Mr. Gunzburg TASS. He also does not exclude a significant increase in the number of cases of coronavirus, however, in his opinion, “the healthcare system will cope with this.”

In Russia, more than 100 deaths from COVID-19 were detected the day before. Since the end of August, the figure has exceeded 80 deaths daily. September 17 was revealed more than 59 thousand infections with coronavirus – this is the highest figure since March 8.
