A Moscow company that creates RFID products began supplying its chipping devices to a guide dog training center. The development will make it easier to identify furry helpers and improve their veterinary care. “The capital’s industrialists actively support social projects and also cooperate with organizations that provide favorable living conditions for people, including those with disabilities. In particular, the Moscow company ISBC has begun supplying RFID products for subcutaneous microchipping of animals to one of the leading centers for training guide dogs that accompany visually impaired and blind people,” said Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
He added that the technology will make it possible to quickly find animals in case of loss and monitor their well-being. The chip is painlessly inserted using a special syringe under the skin of the animal. The chip number is registered in a system where the breed, name, gender and age of the dog are indicated, as well as the owner’s contacts. According to the director of the Animal ID department of the enterprise, Nikolai Boyarov, the company is ready to support charitable initiatives. The first to use the capital’s tags was the Helper Dogs Training and Cynological Center. This is one of two organizations in the country that train guide dogs for free for people with low vision and the blind.
