Grozny will host the first international competitions in sports programming, according to the website of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
Russia became the first country in the world to officially recognize sports programming as a sport.
Competitions will be held from 24 to 28 May. It is expected that more than 300 athletes from 11 countries will take part in them. The prize fund of the tournament will be 3.5 million rubles.
The first day of the “Code of the World” tournament will be devoted to the “algorithmic programming” discipline. The remaining two will be devoted to the tasks of “product programming”. There will also be competitions in computer sports and drone racing (quadcopter racing).
