A couple of weeks ago, show business stirred up from the news of a military nature. Nikolai Baskov and Grigory Leps said at the International Economic Forum that they were ready to pay a million rubles to a person who would destroy a German Leopard tank.

“Every person, wealthy or not, an artist or a businessman, can pay a million rubles to someone who excels on the battlefield. I will pay my million rubles, I think, on the fourth or fifth (July). There is already a person who has done it. I, most likely, will not be able to communicate with him personally – military people are not always free. But if they drive up to where I will be at that moment, I can hand it over personally. Or transfer to a personal account. I won’t be able to give a name if the person himself doesn’t wish it,” Leps told reporters a couple of days ago at a musical event. Now it became known that the artist paid a million even earlier, as reported on the page in his social network.

“Moskovsky Komsomolets” asked the singer what prompted him to take part in the affairs of the military and not related, it would seem, to show business?

“I love my Motherland, and what else can inspire you to do this? Faith that you are right. The strongest is always the one behind whom the truth is – no matter how many people or forces are on the other side. You can lose with the truth, but it doesn’t matter, ”the artist explained.

The artist also said that he was actually ready to take up arms if such a need suddenly arises.

“Such thoughts I didn’t just have – they didn’t go away! I served quite well in the Soviet army, I am an excellent student in the Soviet army. There is all the documentation – you can check. I did not serve in combat units, unfortunately, but I was still familiar with weapons to some extent. Of course, not so professionally, but everything can be learned. True, this is where the common law comes into play. God gave you some kind of voice, some alleged talent, your songs are loved by the country, what are you good at? Sing! Here, sing. Because a military man is the same profession as everyone else. If you don’t treat it professionally and aren’t ready, you will die in the first 15 minutes, ”Leps summed up.
