During the announcement of his message to the Federal Assembly, Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a new national project “Long and Active Life”. Its goal will be to reach the level of life expectancy of Russians of more than 80 years, and the emphasis will be on maintaining and preserving the health of representatives of the older generation.

The key factor for maintaining health is timely and accessible diagnosis.

In this material we will talk about the organization of accessible diagnostics using the example of the Mobile Health Centers project, implemented in the Vladimir region. Its initiator is State Duma deputy Grigory Anikeev.

Medical complexes have been operating free of charge for residents of the region for more than eight years. The first two mobile complexes began operating in 2015.

– At regular meetings with residents of the Vladimir region, Grigory Viktorovich Anikeev received various requests, one of the most frequent topics was the availability of medical services. Grigory Viktorovich decided to start the regional project “Mobile Health Centers”. Scheduled meetings, deliberations, and joint preparatory work were held with district administrations, the medical community, and medical institutions in our region. Working meetings with project participants were held regularly. Grigory Viktorovich set the task of organizing the work of the centers on a regular, daily basis, with full capacity,” recalls Natalya Chashina, head of the department for working with mobile health centers of the VPOO “Mercy and Order”.

– It was very important to cover as many settlements as possible, including the most remote ones. Grigory Viktorovich Anikeev received numerous requests from residents of the region about expanding the project. That is why the decision was made to launch a third medical complex,” says Natalya Chashina.

Since February 2020, three mobile health centers have begun operating in the Vladimir region. Every day they travel to various settlements in the region. Reception is conducted by sought-after specialists from Vladimir.

– Mobile health centers are a great help to residents of the Vladimir region in terms of maintaining their health. The timeliness and accessibility of medical services is very important for people. Consultation with the necessary specialist and ultrasound examination can help identify the disease at an early stage, says ophthalmologist Elvira Belousova.

Qualified specialists at the regional level take part in the project – therapists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, neurologists and others. Thanks to the professionalism, attentiveness and sensitivity of the staff, visitors receive the necessary help and support.

Administrators of the centers communicate daily with residents of the region and see how important the project is and how people need it.

“Both city residents and residents of the most remote settlements are very happy about the mobile health centers. So that all people who need it can visit the medical complex, we visit two small settlements in one day,” says administrator Elena Lvova.

The project is aimed at supporting the health of residents of the Vladimir region and is being implemented throughout the region.

“This is a large-scale regional project that operates on an ongoing, systematic basis. The complexes have been visited by more than 430 settlements in the Vladimir region, and to date, more than 300,000 people have been examined there,” says Russian State Duma deputy Grigory Anikeev.
