Politician Leonid Gozman (recognized as a foreign agent by the media) was detained at the exit from the special detention center, where he spent 15 days of arrest for publicly identifying the USSR and Nazi Germany (part 1 of article 13.48 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). This was announced by his lawyer Mikhail Biryukov.

The politician was taken to the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tverskoy district of Moscow. A protocol was again drawn up against him under Art. 13.48 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The identification of the USSR and Nazi Germany was discovered by the police in a 2013 LiveJournal post by the politician.

According to the lawyer, the 72-year-old politician was left overnight at the police station. The session of the Tverskoy District Court on the new administrative case of Mr. Gozman will take place on the morning of September 14th. He faces another arrest for 15 days.

August 30 politics detained for a post on Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), in which he compared Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler.

After the start of the special operation, Leonid Gozman left Russia, but returned in July. After the appointment of the first 15 days of arrest, he said that he was ready to leave the country again: “I will have a choice – departure or inevitable death in prison” (quote from an interview “Novaya Gazeta”).

In April, a criminal case was opened against Mr. Gozman for failing to notify his second citizenship (Article 330.2 of the Criminal Code). During the interrogation of the politician in July, his defense presented a document that confirmed that the notification of citizenship was filed on time. In this regard, as the lawyer said, the case will be closed.
