Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev proposed introducing an amnesty for major repairs for residents of the region, reports press service of the Don government. The discussion of collecting funds for major repairs of apartment buildings was raised at an extended meeting of the regional government on September 13.

According to the director of the regional fund, Daria Sheremeteva, 77 thousand residents of the region are in arrears to pay for major repairs.

“We need to try to implement here the program that we are implementing to pay for water supply. If people pay the main debt within a certain time, then they will not take penalties,” the press service of the regional government quotes Governor Vasily Golubev.

The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Rostov Region will work on this mechanism. It is planned to determine the duration of the action and inform the local population about the possibility of an amnesty for non-payment of contributions for major repairs.

A similar project “Communal Amnesty”, which provides for the write-off of penalties when paying debts for water supply, has been implemented since August of this year in the Rostov region in the mining territories. During the action, 24 thousand Donetsk residents paid off debts in the amount of 60 million rubles. The experiment in the water supply system will continue until October 1.

It is noted that in 2023, the region plans to overhaul 2,218 apartment buildings with a total area of ​​5,215.7 thousand square meters. m. By the end of the year, 490 electrical supply systems, 547 gas supply systems, 388 heating systems, 616 water supply facilities, 419 roofs, 468 facades, 484 basements, 518 foundations, 379 elevators will be repaired.
