Governor Gladkov announced shelling of a village near Belgorod

The village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, which borders Ukraine, came under fire, and no one was injured, Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
The head of the region in his Telegram channel said that the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky urban district was subjected to shelling.

On December 30, Gladkov, on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, said that since the beginning of the shelling of the Belgorod region, 22 residents of the region had been killed, another 100 were injured. The head of the region added that more than 1,600 apartments and residential buildings were partially or completely destroyed due to shelling. According to him, there were practically no residents left in 15 settlements, about 7,000 people were evacuated. Authorities also reported this week that a local resident had been shot in the leg in the Borisov district. He didn’t stop at the sentry’s warning, told Gladkov. The head of the region warned the inhabitants of the region against visiting the forest belts in the border areas.
Earlier, in the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist security was extended for two weeks; it will operate in the region until January 20.
On October 19, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were under shelling from Ukraine).
