Russian fashion designer Gosha Rubchinsky has become the chief designer of American rapper Kanye West’s Yeezy company. West announced this on his X page.
“YEEZY welcomes Gosha Rubchinskiy as its new Head of Design,” West wrote.
He called Rubchinsky “a legendary Russian designer.” According to the rapper, the designer’s move to his company, a global brand in music and fashion, is “an important achievement in the history of design.”
It is worth noting that West conducted negotiations with Rubchinsky for several years. They met in Moscow back in 2016, and in 2018, Rubchinsky drew a tattoo sketch for West.
