Google search engine has been trained to search for image sources – Kommersant

American corporation Google added The search engine has a new feature, thanks to which users will be able to check the origin of the image. The “About the Image” section will help you find out where the image previously appeared on the Internet and how it was described.

Currently, the feature is only available to users of the English version of search. It will be possible to check the history of the image, including where it first appeared. It will also be possible to see how the picture was described on other sites and what it was used for – this will help verify its authenticity. If this is possible, it will be possible to see metadata on the images, which will indicate, for example, that the image was created using neural networks.

Previously on Google Search appeared AI image generator based on the Imagen model. To create an image, in the search you will need the command “draw” and then a description of the picture. The company claims that all images created by the neural network have metadata indicating that they were made by AI.
