Google Messages may now offer the ability to edit emails

The American corporation Google may add a new feature to the Messages service, thanks to which users will be able to edit letters after sending. About it reports The Verge with a link to data in the application code.
A Google representative did not comment on this information to the publication, however, in recent years, many instant messengers have received the function of editing messages after sending: in 2022, iMessage acquired it, and in 2023, WhatsApp. In both cases, the user is given a limited amount of time to edit the message: in WhatsApp it is 15 minutes after sending, in iMessage it is 2 minutes. Both services also give the user the ability to delete an email, but there are no plans to add such a feature to Google Messages at this time.
Previously Google started test a new feature that will allow users to search within PDF files as well as images. Also Google added in the search engine a new function for checking the origin of the image and implemented into the search bar a test version of the image generator based on the Imagen AI model.
